Structural Warranty
Structural warranty covers defects that affect the integrity and usage of the product. Cosmetic damage, eg. powder coat finish, is not covered by structural warranty.
Not Covered by Warranty
Accidental damage, including collision or impact, misuse of product, incorrect installation, extreme weather conditions, normal wear and tear over time, cosmetic damage, alterations or modifications made to product either pre or post installation.
Please note, our stud mount numbers are not recommended for installation on letterboxes, as drilling into the letterbox will expose the surface and this may lead to rusting in those areas. If these numbers are installed into a letterbox against our recommendations, this will void the warranty for both the letterbox and the numbers.
Our custom house address signs have been designed to be applied to your letterbox, fence, brick or render using a construction adhesive only (Liquid Nails Fast Grab). Please note that attempting to drill or screw these signs into your chosen surface may damage the sign, and will also void your warranty.
Chips and scratches are not covered by the ethanol fire pit manufacturer warranty. Natural variation in colour, texture and porosity may occur and are considered inherent and valued qualities of the material. Non-structural hairline cracks are possible, and shall not be considered a manufacturing defect. Ethanol accessories are only covered by warranty for use with compatible and recommended ethanol fire pits.
Rusting Warranty
Letterboxes – Our powder coat letterboxes are all zinc coated and then protected with the durable powder coat finish. Similar to a car, only when a surface is exposed to the elements will there be potential for rusting. Our structural warranty will cover any rusting issues occurring naturally, not due to damages or alterations.
Please note, our stud mount numbers are not recommended for installation on letterboxes, as drilling into the letterbox will expose the surface and this may lead to rusting in those areas. If these numbers are installed into a letterbox against our recommendations, this will void the warranty for both the letterbox and the numbers.
Fire Pits – Our rust fire pits will continue to naturally weather into a durable rustic finish. Our black fire pits are finished with a high temperature black painted surface that is resistant to heat but not water. If left uncovered in the elements, it will age to a natural rust finish. This rusting process for fire pits is not covered by structural warranty. For longevity, we recommend to store your fire pit under cover or out of the elements when you’re not using it, and the use of a compatible fire pit rain cover will assist in additional protection and slow the rusting process.
Faulty Product
Depending on the individual circumstance, and product, in the instance that a fault occurs with a specific part that can be replaced, we reserve the right to provide a replacement for this faulty part only.
Claim on Discontinued Product
As we are constantly updating and expanding our range, if your current product is no longer for sale, and your warranty claim is approved, we will work with you to find the most suitable and compatible alternative as a replacement.
The Brand
Where it began
The iconic milk can is where it all began. One of our first original letterbox designs in the 1990’s, and manufactured in our Brisbane warehouse, we began the whole process of design and creation in-house. After many years of growth, we made the move to Melbourne.
What we do
Milkcan Outdoor Products is a Melbourne owned and operated business that focuses on designing products that inspire life outdoors. We’ve been designing letterboxes and outdoor products for Australian homes for over 25 years and as the style of homes have changed over the years, so have our designs.
We are continuously creating new styles to add to our range, innovating new concepts for every style of home, from the inner-city to the country. We aim to create outdoor products that are not only functional, but will also compliment your home and garden. The range has continued to grow over recent years to include backyard favourites like fire pits, clotheslines and decor for the whole family to enjoy.
Who we are
As we continue to grow our range, we also continue to grow our team, to ensure that we can continuously provide the best possible products and service to our customers.
What started as a small family run business many years ago, has grown into a larger team operating from our showroom and warehouse in Thomastown, Victoria. We have evolved over time to include in-house design, marketing, customer service, dispatch, trade, accounts and warehouse departments. Whether you are shopping online or in person at our showroom, shop with confidence that you are supporting an Australian business.
We think our customers are pretty great too!
Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a metric used to measure a customer’s experience, and how likely they would recommend a company and their products to others. It is a useful way for companies to receive feedback, and ensure they are meeting customers’ expectations, as well as compare to other companies in their industry.
We are proud to share that our NPS is an “Excellent” score of 89, which we think highlights the importance we place on ensuring our customers have a wonderful experience shopping with us. The fact we have so many returning customers, as well as those who found us through word-of-mouth recommendations really makes us smile!
